Columbia's New Student Orientation Program (NSOP) is your first opportunity to experience life at Columbia as a student! NSOP will help you to feel at home in Morningside Heights, become familiar with the academic and co-curricular opportunities, learn about campus traditions, understand how to access campus resources and support services and meet the Columbia community.

Bracelet + Care Package Making

Join us for a cozy creative break during Orientation! At our Bracelet+ Care Package Making session, you'll get the chance to design your own friendship bracelets and put together thoughtful care packages for yourself and your new friends! Come share a little kindness with new people, and take home something to remember your first week at Columbia by!

Capture the Flag

Almost halfway through NSOP already! Join us for the Amazing Race! Team up with other first-years to solve riddles about our very own campus. These clues will test your knowledge on everything Columbia-related, from well-known buildings to statues you’ll see throughout your next four years!

Saturday, August 30

Karaoke Night

Show off your skills with live performances in a casual, relaxed setting with fellow new students! Sing your heart out solo or with a group, hoping the night never ends.

Dodgeball and Volleyball

Team up for a classic game of dodgeball! Two teams go head-to-head for the title of Dodgeball champion -- students may choose to enter as smaller teams and proceed bracket-style.

Trivia

Based on the popular game show Family Feud, two teams battle it out by answering surveys to win prizes. Get ready to make new friends!

Amazing Race

Inspired by the TV show The Amazing Race, teams will race to complete a series of challenges or checkpoints as quickly as possible. Test your campus knowledge and puzzle-solving skills to win grand prizes!
