Priya Gupta
Executive Director
Priya looks after the overall vision and health of the organization. For programming and advocacy efforts, Priya liaises with departments within Columbia. She also organizes Leadership Retreats for Hall Councils and coordinates a buddy system between Executive Board members with Hall Councils for further leadership development.
Yadira Castillo
Operations Director
Yadira disburses funds to and keeps records of all financial affairs used by the Executive Board. She oversees all Hall Council budgets and acts as a resource to all Hall Councils on financial questions. Yadira also acts as Columbia's National Communications Coordinator (NCC). As NCC, Yadira represents Columbia to the National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH), Inc. and coordinates delegations to NACURH regional and national conferences.
Akeyla Stewart & Jetisha Edwards
Advocacy & Policy Director
Akeyla and Jetisha brainstorm and execute initiatives that respond directly to the needs of residential students across Columbia’s campus. Akeyla and Jetisha also sit on external campus policy boards, communicate with a variety of University administrators and offices, and chair RHLO’s Advocacy and Policy Committee. Akeyla is also the Executive Director of the Coalition Against Sexual Violence (CASV).
James Coppersmith & Clarence Liu
Programming Director
James and Clarence brainstorm, plan, and execute semesterly and annual events. They work with the Operations Director to seek mutually beneficial partnerships with other organizations as program sponsors. They also act as a resource for Hall Councils in terms of programming advice.
Xiyan Zhu
Engagement Director
Xiyan oversees campus-wide engagement with RHLO's programming and initiatives. She is the administrator and creative lead on RHLO's social media, website, and newsletters. Xiyan also works with hall councils to promote collaboration and effective communication between residential communities.
Mike Hebert
Adviser
Mike is the Residence Hall Director of John Jay Hall and a member of Residential Life’s professional staff. Mike advises RHLO’s Executive Board in all matters, especially in communicating with University administrators within Residential Life and other departments. They also oversee RHLO’s elections process. Additionally, Mike helps manage RHLO’s budget and long-term financial planning.
