Abbey Zhao
Co-Director of Advocacy & Policy
Hi! I'm Abbey, a junior in Columbia College studying statistics, economics, and political science, and I'm from Columbus, Ohio. Outside of RHLO, I'm involved with Spectator, the Space Initiative, Project Tutors, NYSCAS, the Emerging Markets Review, and Columbia Democrats. When I'm not locking in, you can find me procrastinating my problem sets by either working at the Arts Initiative's box office, hosting game night, reading some cheesy novel, showing people pictures of my dogs, or convincing my friends to go grab hot pot with me.
Abby Werthmann
Co-Director of Advocacy & Policy
Abby is a sophomore at Columbia College studying Human Rights with a specialization in Political Science. Previously, Abby served as Vice President of Advocacy on the Furnald Hall Council, where she worked to strengthen student engagement and advocate for issues impacting the residential community. As Advocacy & Policy Director at RHLO, Abby looks forward to elevating student voices and advancing meaningful change across campus. Outside of RHLO, Abby loves discovering new coffee shops and will never pass up the chance to try a new restaurant, browse a good bookstore, or explore the city!
